Mission:
The VICS Product Images Committee mission is to identify, develop and document standardized methods to name, identify, manage, locate and acquire images for the Apparel and Footwear industries. Identify and standardize the extended attributes associated with the images needed for image business functions.
Scope:
The Scope of the initiative has been defined as follows:
- Initial scope will be limited to Footwear and e-Commerce (e.g. on-line sales)
- Scope will be expanded later include :
- Apparel and GM categories (and others as defined at a later date).
- Advertising and shelf / floor plan (plan-o-gram)
Who should participate?
- VP Operations
- VP / Director of IT
- VP / Director Merchandising
- VP/Director Vendor Relations
- Appropriate subject matter experts (SME's) when topics to address are identified.
